  • sapper: Ryanonthevedder, last summer it hit 44 degrees on my claim.  I would spend 15 minutes working and 30 in the creek cooling off.  At one point It was so hot out I had to quit working and sit in the truck with the AC on and even that wasnt enough to keep cool.

How do you tell when you have hit bedrock?

Well the simple answer is that it is fairly solid rock, though it may be igneous, metamorphic or sedimentary in nature, sometimes solid, and sometimes quite fractured, heres a few pictures of a claim I have on the Fraser River that demostrates this a bit........Greywolf









The last two picture show a quartz vein with interesting sulfides and there is some wired gold within the quartz as well........

That quartz looks like a good place to test out some detectors

Nice pics grey....nice claims...thanks for the info.....is very jealous.
Its taken me years , a bro with money, and a little luck just to find 2 claims i can get accesses to within 3 hrs of my house.
